Native Plant Landscaping & Meadow Conversion
in Portland, Oregon

licensed-bonded-insured

We transform lawns into resilient native plant ecosystems that support wildlife, food production, and water infiltration—designed to become more lush and self-sustaining over time.

Native Plant Landscape Design

We design site-specific native plant landscapes tailored to your soil, sunlight, water, and living patterns. Grounded in ecology, emphasizing biodiversity, long-term resilience, and prioritizing function and relationships with Oregon native plants, we are building PNW native plant landscapes that evolve, thrive, and become more lush and self-sustaining with age.

PNW Native Plant Landscape Installation

We install native plant landscapes with careful attention to soil preparation, plant placement, and long-term establishment. Our installations are built to support healthy root systems, functional Oregon native plant communities, and provide immediate ecological benefits.  Whether converting a lawn, building a meadow, or restoring a degraded yard, we install with the goal of creating a landscape that is resilient and regenerative.

Ecological Maintenance & Stewardship

We provide ecological maintenance focused on supporting healthy plant communities rather than controlling them. This includes selective weeding, seasonal pruning, plant thinning, and observation-based care as landscapes mature. Our approach helps native ecosystems stabilize, naturally reduce weed pressure, and improve function year after year—without chemicals, fertilizers, or excessive intervention.

Restoring Native Ecosystems in Urban Yards

Urban landscapes don’t have to be ornamental or resource-intensive. With the right plant communities and soil care, they can function as living ecosystems:

  • Wildlife habitat

  • Water infiltration & filtration

  • Long-term soil health

At Urban Rewilding, we design and build native plant systems that mirror natural processes and grow more resilient, require less intervention, and support dynamic ecosystems that adapt, mature, and improve with age.

Slow Mo Rewilding Program

Our three-year monthly rewilding program transforms your landscape from bland to biodiverse by building soil health, creating habitat, and long-term resilience in stages, letting the plants do the heavy lifting.

Bre and her crew are great. They are on time, creative, hardworking, and seem to genuinely love working together. Bre has great ideas for problem areas and works with your budget.

the yard doesn't usually get many bird visitors (yet!) but this morning there was a handful of small birds hopping around, looking for-- and finding!-- worms to eat. and whenever i've been out there digging up weeds, almost every trowel-full of dirt reveals a worm

even in winter, the yard feels healthy and happy. thank you again so much for making this happen <3

Excellent! Working with urban rewilding has been a delightful and unfolding experience. They keep good care of my sizeable yard while wholeheartedly embracing their roles as stewards of the urban landscape and always making improvements here and there with each visit. Bre and her team have been a precious and indispensable partner in caring for the quarter acre serving as our first home.
